Lamb Of God Picture
Lamb Of God defy easy categorization, their progressive tendencies leading them to challenge and subvert the very music they love. Within their furious sonic meltdown, elements of thrash, old school, death metal can be heard. While their uncompromising stance might sound like the stuff of nightmares, their superlative musicianship and technical proficiency have made them into one of the most formidable metal bands to break free of the US underground in recent years. Prior to becoming Lamb Of God the band was known as Burn The Priest, and consisted of friends who had met while at university in Virginia. They began by recording a couple of split seven-inch singles with some other local acts before collecting the various tracks, adding a couple of bonus songs, and releasing them as "Sevens And More" (1998) At the time the band comprised Randy Blythe (Vocals), John Campbell (Bass), Abe Spear (Guitar), Mark Morton (Guitar) and Chris Adler (drums), the quintet who had the relentless professionalism of, say, Def Leppard but without the pop aspirations.

Now You've Got Something to Die for Lyrics

Lamb Of God

Now youve got something to die for
Infidel, Imperial
Lust for blood, a blind crusade
Apocalyptic, we count the days
Bombs to set the people free
blood to feed the dollar tree
Flages for coffins on the screen
oil for the machine
Army of liberation, gunpoint,indoctrination
The fires of sedition
Fulfill the prophecy
Now youve got something to die for
Send the children to the fire, sons and
daughters stack the pyre
Stoke the flame of the empire
live to lie another day
Face of hypocrisy, raping democracy
Apocalyptic, we count the days
We'll never get out of this hole until we've
dug our own grave
And drug the rest down with us
the burning home of the brave
Burn
Now you've got something to die for
